Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted 2-1 wins for both Leeds United and Aston Villa this weekend ahead of an action-packed weekend of Championship football.
The Yorkshire club welcome Brentford to Elland Road on Saturday and will hope to keep their push further into the top six going.
The historic club are currently in sixth place in the table but only a handful of points separate them from a host of teams on their tail.
Despite this, Prutton has stated that Leeds will continue their strong home form and record victory over the visitors.
“It’s a funny one for Leeds as it’s been win-lose, win-lose for the past few weeks,” he said.
“The win against Reading, where Reading dominated the ball, they were comfortable enough to concede a bit of possession in the game and still come through.
“If Chris Wood is out he’ll be a big miss, but I think with the way that Leeds are playing at home, they just shade it.”
Villa meanwhile also have ambitions of promotion to the Premier League and the Midlands club’s fortunes have improved markedly since Steve Bruce was appointed.
The Villa Park side sit in 13th place ahead of the weekend’s action after two losses from their last three, but Prutton is expecting the visitors to beat Queens Park Rangers in London on Sunday.
“My gut feeling is we’ll see a reaction from Aston Villa,” he said.
“After a great unbeaten start from Steve Bruce, the last few games have been a bit of a reality check; two defeats and a win.
“There was a nice confidence about the place that they would be steadily rising the table, but if they really have top six aspirations, they’ve got to look at a QPR team who, having lost the last four must be short of confidence, and look to get three points.”
