Wolverhampton Wanderers’ transfer plans have reportedly been put on hold with the club still deciding on how much of money they want to spend this summer, according to a report published by The Mirror.
The Molineux club will be looking to add more talent to their squad this summer and have been linked with the likes of AC Milan striker Andre Silva and Porto striker Moussa Marega.
Wolves have qualified for the Europa League next season. In addition to this, the influence of Jorge Mendes within their team could help them to recruit high-quality talent.
Due to the presence of Mendes, Wolves have been able to bring in Ruben Neves, Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho. All three have been very impressive in the Premier League this season.
Another player that Nuno’s Wolves side have been linked with is Morgan Sanson of Marseille. The 24-year-old has scored four goals from 31 Ligue 1 appearances this season. He could form a formidable trio with Moutinho and Neves in midfield.
Silva and Marega have both been impressive for their respective clubs this season. The former has managed to score nine goals from 27 appearances in La Liga this season. The latter meanwhile has managed to score 10 goals from 27 appearances in the Primeira Liga this season and also has Champions League experience.
This will be an interesting summer transfer window for Wolves. If they make some smart additions, they could be set to challenge for a place in the top six next season. They will be looking to build upon what they achieved this season.
