Report: West Ham facing frustration as European giants to pounce

German champions Bayern Munich are reportedly edging closer to completing the signing of young West Ham United sensation Benicio Baker-Boaitey, as per English tabloid The Sun.

German clubs are famous for signing young players from their very early age in order to have competitive squad depth for future campaigns.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern are the masters of nurturing young talents and they have the likes of Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham and Alphonso Davies already within their ranks from a very young age.

That list is looking set to get even lengthier as per the latest report, the German champions are edging closer to complete the signing of young winger Baker-Boaitey from West Ham in the coming days.

The report stated that Bayern and another club from the Bundesliga have already invited the Hammers player to come to Germany to have formal talks about his departure from the London-based outfit.

The report suggests that Bayern are facing competition from the likes of Premier League giants Manchester United and French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) who are also interested in signing the 16-year-old.

The news will be a damaging one for West Ham, who were hoping to convince the player in signing his first professional contract in January.

The Hammers have a rich history of bringing through young talents and losing out on an exciting rising star will be a blow for David Moyes’ men.
