Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth star David Brooks this summer, according to a report published by The Sun.
The Lilywhites are set to have an active summer transfer window. Spurs are set to bring in a few fresh faces this summer after having not made a single new signing during the past two transfer windows.
The report added that Tottenham could look to sign the 21-year-old for a fee of around £40 million.
Spurs need to bolster their midfield this summer. Mousa Dembele left the club during the January transfer window to join the Chinese Super League and the club has yet to find a replacement for the Belgian.
Brooks was one of the stand-out performers for the Cherries this season. He joined the club during the summer of 2018 and impressed as he went on to make 30 Premier League appearances, scoring several goals and recording five assists.
Brooks is a young up and coming talent who already has substantial experience in the Premier League. He has the ability to thrive under Mauricio Pochettino and has the ability to be thrown straight into the Spurs first-team.
Spurs should certainly go all out to sign this Brooks this summer. A move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be tempting to the player as it will allow him to play in one of the best sides in England as well as grant him the opportunity to experience Champions League football.
This is a deal which could end up taking place this summer.
