Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Willy Boly from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.
It has been reported that Tottenham are keeping “close tabs” on the 28-year-old central defender.
The report has claimed that a number of other clubs in the Premier Leaue are also interested in securing the services of the Frenchman.
It has been reported that Tottenham plan to run regular checks on the former FC Porto defender, who is valued at €20 million (£17.3m) by the CIES Football Observatory.
Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
Boly has done well for Wolves in the Premier League, and there is no surprise that Tottenham are reportedly interested in the defender.
However, at the age of 28, the Frenchman does not have any re-sale value, and Spurs will have to be aware of that.
Moreover, Boly is not as good as current Tottenham Hotspur central defenders Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
Spurs are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table and progress to the knockout round of the Champions League this season.
