According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign Edin Dzeko from AS Roma.
However, according to the report, Tottenham have turned down the offer and will not make a move for the former Manchester City forward.
It has been reported that the Bosnia and Herzegovina forward was offered to the Premier League club by intermediaries representing the player.
It has also been claimed that the former VfL Wolfsburg forward is closing in on a move to Inter Milan, with Roma valuing the 33-year-old at £18 million.
Bad decision from Tottenham Hotspur?
Dzeko was a success in the Premier League during his time at City, and won the league title twice and the FA Cup once.
The forward still has a couple of years left in him at the very highest level, but at £18m, he will be an expensive back-up to star striker Harry Kane, and one can understand why Tottenham have decided not to take up on the offer to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
