Report: Reliable source claims Man United have made big offer for exciting talent

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a £25million offer for Birmingham City wonder-kid Jude Bellingham, according to The Times.

The Red Devils boss is reportedly aiming to add the 16-year-old midfielder to their squad this month, which would represent a significant outlay.

However, it looks like United won’t find it an easy signing as the youngster reportedly has admirers across Europe.

The Red Devils head-coach has been scouring the market to sign midfielders this month, after both Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba suffered long-term injuries, with the Old Trafford outfit short of options in the middle of the park.

With an eye towards the future, the young English footballer’s signing would make perfect sense for United, who have invested in a number of homegrown talents in recent windows.

However, it remains to be seen whether they could convince the talented midfielder that Old Trafford is the best place for him.

Bellingham has been impressive this season for his team having made his debut earlier in Birmingham’s Carabao Cup match against Portsmouth.

His consistent good performances have earned him a regular place in the senior team and has featured in all their 23 last Championship matches.

United are in a battle to finish in the top four this season and a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday has made the task that little bit more difficult.
