Glasgow Rangers have been quiet in the transfer window so far but are looking to offload Brandon Barker and Jordan Jones before the window closes, according to The Daily Record.
Both of the Gers’ widemen have only moved to Ibrox in the last 12 months but have found first-team football for Steven Gerrard’s side hard to come by.
Rangers are keen on sign Miguel Luis from Sporting Lisbon according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The 20-year-old has been struggling to gain regular first-team football for Lisbon this season.
Luis has gone on to make just two appearances in the Primeira Liga this season, which is not ideal and Rangers could take advantage.
Whilst he is young, he is now at a stage of his career where he should at least be on the fringes of first-team action.
It seems likely that Rangers will have no problems in terms of securing this transfer considering that Luis does not appear to be of high importance to the Sporting cause.
The player has played just 21 times for Lisbon and so signing him will be a risk for the Gers.
Rangers boss Gerrard does however have a good reputation in terms of getting the best out of young players and so Luis could just be a success if he arrives at the the Ibrox.
He is also unlikely to cost much.
Rangers’ 2-1 Scottish Premiership defeat against Hearts last Sunday highlighted that they should look to make some reinforcements to their side before the end of the transfer window.
The Gers now trail first place Celtic by five points on the league standings.
Rangers are still very much alive in the title race but cannot afford to carry on dropping points or else they will fall further behind their arch rivals.
