According to The Express, Rangers have made a second bid for Oldham Athletic defender George Edmundson.
It has been reported that Rangers have placed an offer of around £500,000 plus add-ons for the 21-year-old defender.
Oldham, though, according to the report, has turned down the bid, with Wigan Athletic, Hull City, Peterborough United, Stoke City and Derby County all claimed to be interested in the youngster.
According to The Express, Edmundson have submitted a transfer request at the League Two club in England and wants to move to Rangers in the summer transfer window.
Edmundson made 45 appearances for Oldham in League Two this season, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Rangers could do with a young and good central defender Edmundson, and it must be encouraging for Steven Gerrard’s side that he wants to move to the Gers this summer.
The Gers will be aiming to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
