According to The Sun, Rangers and Celtic are set to miss out on Joe Aribo to Aston Villa.
Aribo is out of contract at Charlton Athletic this summer, and the midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs on a free transfer.
The Sun has claimed that Rangers, Celtic, Manchester City and Villa all want to sign the talented and promising young midfielder.
The British tabloid, though, has reported that it is Villa who are currently winning the race for the 22-year-old former Staines Town player.
Villa are aiming to play in the Premier League next season and will face Derby County at Wembley Stadium in the Championship playoff final at Wembley Stadium in London on Monday afternoon.
Aribo is a good midfielder who has had a very good campaign with Charlton, and the youngster has talent and potential to make it big in the Championship or in the Premier League.
A move to Villa will be great for Aribo, but there is still time for Rangers and Celtic to win the race for the youngster.
