Liverpool are interested in signing Brighton and Hove Albion-owned Leeds United central defender Ben White, according to Football Insider.

It has been reported that Premier League club Liverpool are keeping tabs on White, who joined Championship outfit Leeds on loan from Brighton in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that Liverpool scouts have been following the 22-year-old – who can also operate as a right-back – and have been blown away by his development.

It has also been claimed that Brighton value the English youngster at £20 million.

Promising talent

White did not have any Championship experience prior to his move to Leeds in the summer transfer window, but he has taken to the second tier of English football like a duck to water.

It does not come as a surprise that Liverpool are reportedly interested in White, but for now, the youngster is better off playing regular first-team football at Leeds.

According to WhoScored, White has made 11 appearances in the Championship for Leeds so far this season.
