According to The London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur youngster Marcus Edwards is training with Brentford.

It has been reported that Edwards, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, has been told that he can leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old is claimed to be training with Brentford with a view to a move to the Championship club this summer.

Leaving Tottenham Hotspur

Edwards is a very good and promising young player, but the 20-year-old’s recent loan spells have not been very encouraging.

The England Under-20 international could not make a great impact during his loan spell at Norwich City in 2018, and his loan spell at Excelsior was mixed.

According to WhoScored, Edwards made 19 starts and six substitute appearances in the Eredivisie for Excelsior last season, scoring two goals and providing four assists in the process.

Joining Brentford

Brentford are a very ambitious club who will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season, and Edwards will be a very good signing for the Bees in the summer transfer window.
