According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho is interested in signing a striker in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that Mourinho wants to bring in a striker next month in order to compete with Harry Kane.
Good transfer plan
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and is the first choice for Tottenham, and it is not going to change anytime soon.
After all, the England international scores goals regularly and also affects in attack.
However, Spurs do need a back-up, a genuinely good striker who is going to push Kane and take his place when he has injuries or a dip in form.
The problem is that Tottenham boss Mourinho could struggle to find a top striker in the middle of the season.
Even if Spurs identity a quality striker, it is going to be tough to convince him to move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and play second fiddle to Kane.
