Newcastle United are interested in signing Ryan Manning from Queens Park Rangers in the January transfer window, according to The Northern Echo.
It has been reported that Premier League outfit Newcastle are monitoring the 23-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder or as a left-back.
The report has claimed that the 23-year-old is valued at £3 million by his Championship club QPR.
Good signing for Newcastle United?
Manning is a very good player who is an adept at left-back, and the former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international would be a good signing for Newcastle in the middle of the season.
True, the 23-year-old does not have experience in the Premier League, but for £3m he would be worth a punt.
Moreover, under former Hull City manager Steve Bruce, the left-back can improve, and since he is only 23 years of age, he can prove to be a good long-term replacement for Newcastle and earn the Magpies a sizeable transfer fee in the future.
