Report: Man United face competition from three clubs for signing of £30m-rated star

Manchester United are facing competition from three clubs for the signing of Birmingham City’s star midfielder Jude Bellingham in the summer transfer window, as per the Mirror.

The Old Trafford club are going through a decent season as they are placed in fifth position of the league table with 45 points after 29 matches, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

Ever since the arrival of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær, the Red Devils hierarchy is entirely focused towards overhauling the squad over the course of a couple of seasons.

For this purpose, United have been linked with a host of young players in the recent past and one of them is Birmingham’s Bellingham who is very highly-rated.

However, as per the report, United are facing competition from at least three different clubs—league rivals Chelsea and German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich—for the signing of the 16-year-old.

The report stated that Bellingham will leave his current club in the summer but is taking his time to decide which out of the four clubs will be best for his future prospects.

The England U17 is going through an outstanding season for Birmingham—which is his first at the senior level—where he has already scored four goals and provided three assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

United have a young core to their side and adding Bellingham could be an exciting proposition for the Old Trafford faithful.
