Manchester United are reportedly hopeful that Paul Pogba will be available for their clash against Tottenham Hotspur next Monday according to a report published by ESPN.
The Frenchman was injured following a tackle from Newcastle United’s Jonjo Shelvey during United’s 2-0 victory against the Magpies last Wednesday.
Pogba has had to miss the start of United’s warm weather training camp in Dubai in order to receive treatment.
He remained in Manchester in order to receive treatment and is expected to join the rest of his team-mates later this week.
United will spend four days in Dubai before returning to Manchester on Thursday.
United have significantly improved since Jose Mourinho was sacked as their manager after they were comprehensively beaten by Liverpool last month.
The Red Devils defeated Reading 2-0 in the FA Cup on Saturday and this means that they have now won all five games that they have played under the guidance of interim boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
Pogba was one of the players who struggled for consistency under Mourinho. The 2018 World Cup winner was even linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
However, he appears to be revitalized under Solksjaer and has been one of United’s best players since the Norwegian was appointed. Most Red Devils die-hard fans will surely now be hoping that the former Juventus midfielder does not leave.
