After becoming unhappy with life at Leeds United, Samuel Saiz left the Yorkshire giants in order to link up with Getafe in January.
Things have not gone according to plan for the 28-year-old as he has been unable to establish himself as a first-team regular within the fourth place La Liga side.
Based on the way that things are going, it will be surprising if Getafe do end up making Saiz’s stay with them permanent at the end of the season.
However, the Leeds man is determined to stay in Spain regardless and Valencia are one of the clubs that want to sign him at the end of the season, according to Spanish source El Gol.
The report added that Valencia have no doubt about the player fitting into their side and will start negotiating with the Whites for the player should Getafe decide against signing him.
It added that they are viewing Leeds playmaker Saiz as a potential replacement for Russian international Denis Cheryshev.
Saiz is contracted at Elland Road until the summer of 2021 meaning that Marcelo Bielsa’s club stand a chance of getting a decent sum of money for his sale.
During the first half of the season, he was inconsistent for Leeds in the Championship as he went on to play 19 league games for the club, recording four assists and failing to score a goal.
Leeds must aim to sell Saiz during the summer transfer window. If they win promotion to the Premier League, they could use the funds generated from a sale to invest in new talent.
