According to The Telegraph, Christian Eriksen has made it clear to Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave at the end of the season.
Eriksen is out of contract at Spurs next summer, and despite the appointment of Jose Mourinho as the new head coach, the Denmark international attacking midfielder is keen on an exit, according to the report.
The report has claimed that Tottenham boss Mourinho is planning for the long term at the North London outfit without the 27-year-old.
Disappointment for Tottenham Hotspur
Eriksen may not be in great form at the moment, but there is no doubt that the Dane is one of the best and most creative players in Europe.
The Dane remains a very important player for Spurs, and he will be a key figure in the North London outfit’s quest to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
According to WhoScored, Eriksen has made seven starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
