According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 67, November 17, 2019), Everton are interested in signing John Egan from Sheffield United in the January transfer window.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Everton want to see how Egan gets on in a back-four when the Republic of Ireland the on Denmark on Monday evening.
Egan has been on the books of United since 2018 when he joined from Brentford.
The Republic of Ireland international played an important role in the Blades clinching automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season.
According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old scored one goal and provided one assist in 44 Championship games for Chris Wilder’s side during the 2018-19 campaign.
