According to The Daily Mail, Derby County are interested in signing Kieran Dowell from Everton in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Dowell was set to join Huddersfield Town from Everton, but Championship rivals Derby are trying to hijack the Terriers’ deal.
New Derby manager Phillip Cocu reportedly has a good relationship with Everton director of football Marcel Brands, who wants the 21-year-old attacking midfielder to progress his career at a Championship club playing the appropriate style.

If Dowell joins Derby, then it will be interesting to see how the Pride Park Stadium faithful react to the move.
That’s because the England Under-21 international played on loan for the Rams’ bitter rivals Nottingham Forest on loan from Everton during the 2017-18 campaign.
According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old made 31 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Championship for Forest in 2017-18, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in the process.
