According to Diario de Sevilla, Real Betis have turned down a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for Giovani Lo Celso.
It has been reported by the Spanish publication that Tottenham made a bid of €60 million (£53m) for the 23-year-old central midfielder.
Betis, though, are claimed to have rejected the Premier League club’s offer for the Argentina international.
The La Liga club reportedly want a transfer fee for Lo Celso closed to the €100million (£88.15m) release clause in his contract.
Lo Celso is a very talented and promising young central midfielder whose performances this season were very encouraging.
The youngster made 27 starts and five substitute appearances in La Liga for Betis this season, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Tottenham finished fourth in the Premier League table this season, and in Madrid on June 1, the North London outfit will take on Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Lo Celso is a very good central midfielder who will be a good signing for Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
