According to The Daily Mail, West Ham United are interested in signing a goalkeeper in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Hammers are likely to look for a new goalkeeper when the transfer window opens in the middle of the season.
Lukas Fabianski is on the sidelines at the moment with injury, while his deputy Roberto has not been great and has made mistakes.
While it is true that West Ham could do with a capable and competent goalkeeper now, by the time the transfer window opens in January, Fabianski is likely to be back to full fitness.
It does not make much sense for the Hammers to sign a goalkeeper then, especially when they are not going to get a quality player in that position.
Perhaps for now, West Ham should look at someone from the youth team or the academy to compete with or even replace Roberto between the posts.
