Tottenham Hotspur have turned down an offer from Napoli for defender Kieran Trippier, according to Football Insider.
It has been reported that Italian club Napoli are yet to meet Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s demands for the 28-year-old England international right-back.
The report has also claimed of Manchester United’s interest in the former Manchester City prospect, who can also operate as a right wing-back.
Tottenham Hotspur exit
Trippier has been on the books of Tottenham since 2015 when he joined from Burnley.
The right-back has played well for Spurs over the years, but there have always been occasions when the England international has made mistakes or has been found wanting.
As good as the 28-year-old is, he is not world class, and he is also 28 years of age, and if Tottenham get a decent transfer fee for him this summer, then they should take it.
According to WhoScored, Trippier has made 26 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League and six starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for Tottenham this season.
