Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty has impressed manager Steven Gerrard in training, according to Football Insider.
It has been reported that Docherty – who spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Shrewsbury Town in England – has impressed Gerrard and the Rangers coaching staff “with his fitness, condition and application”.
The 23-year-old has made just five appearances for Rangers so far this season and none at all since mid-August, according to the report.
Succeeding at Rangers
Docherty is a very good and promising young midfielder, but the 23-year-old can only improve and get better in the coming years.
However, it is important that the former Hamilton Academical star steps up his game and breaks into the first team at Rangers.
With Rangers aiming to win the Scottish Premiership table and progress to the knockout round of the Europa League, the 23-year-old will get his chances, and he has to make the most of them.
The Gers will return to action next weekend when they take on Hamilton Academical away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
