According to The Mirror (print edition, page 50, November 5, 2019), Newcastle United will let goalkeeper Rob Elliot, right-back Javier Manquillo and central midfielder Ki Sung-yueng leave at the end of the season.
Elliot, Manquillo and Ki all are out of contract at Newcastle next summer, and the Magpies will reportedly not hand them a new contract.
No major surprise
Elliot has been on the books of Newcastle since 2011, and the 33-year-old has failed to establish himself as a regular in the first team on a consistent basis.
It does not come as a surprise that Newcastle do not plan to keep the veteran goalkeeper at the club beyond next summer.
Manquillo joined Newcastle in 2013, and the 25-year-old former Liverpool and Sunderland loanee has not done enough to suggest that he can be a success at the Magpies.
As for Ki, the 30-year-old South Korean central midfielder has failed to replicate the form he showed at Swansea City since moving to Newcastle in 2018.
