According to The Mirror (print edition, page 79, November 22, 2019), Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud wants £7 million per year as salary to join Crystal Palace.
It has been reported that Palace are interested in signing former Arsenal striker Giroud from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Blues want £5m as transfer fee for the 33-year-old France international striker.
Moving to Crystal Palace
Giroud is struggling for playing time at Chelsea at the moment, and it is clear that the former Arsenal star is not in the plans of manager Frank Lampard.
It would make sense for the Frenchman to move to Palace if he gets regular playing time, but at the same time, he must make sure that he is properly compensated.
After all, Giroud is 33 years of age, and the next move in his career could be the final in which he could earn a big salary.
