Rangers want £10 million as transfer fee for Ibrox defender James Tavernier, according to Football Insider.
It has been reported that Rangers have received a lot of offers and interest in Tavernier.
The report has claimed of interest in the former Newcastle United right-back from Aston Villa and Brighton and Hove Albion.
It has been reported that Rangers have placed a £10m price-tag on the 27-year-old former Wigan Athletic defender.
Tavernier is one of the best right-backs in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in Steven Gerrard’s team.
According to BBC Sport, the right-back scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers this past season.
Rangers should do their best to hold onto Tavernier, as replacing him will be really tough.
Tavernier, though, is good enough to play in the Premier League, and he would be a good signing for Villa or Brighton.
Rangers will be aiming to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
