According to Football Insider, Everton are interested in appointing Laurent Blanc as their new manager.

It has been reported that current Everton manager Marco Silva is under pressure at the club due to the team’s poor start to the season.

The Toffees, who are expected to challenge for a top-six finish in the Premier League this season, find themselves third from bottom in the league table at the moment with just seven points from eight matches.

According to Football Insider, Silva has told his friends that he will be dismissed should Everton lose to West Ham United in the Premier League after the two-week international break.

It has been further reported that the Everton board have discussed the possibility of appointing Blanc as a replacement for Silva.

Blanc knows the Premier League well, having been a huge success as a player during his time at Manchester United from 2001 until 2003.

The 53-year-old has also managed Bordeaux, the France national football team, and Paris Saint-Germain.
