Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and Bright and Hove Albion are interested in signing Ben Davies of Preston North End, according to The Sun.
It has been reported that Brighton are planning to make a £10 million bid for Davies in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Seagulls have been sending top scouts to watch the 24-year-old central defender in action this season.
There is interest from Steve Bruce’s Newcastle, Wolves and Everton as well in the centre-back, according to the report.
According to The Sun, Preston plan to offer Davies a new contract, and they will look for a seven- figure fee to sell him in the January transfer window.
Preston are doing well in the Championship at the moment, and perhaps they should keep hold of the defender until next summer.
After all, with Alex Neil’s side challenging for promotion to the Premier League this season, the defender’s exit in the middle of the season will adversely affect them.
