According to El Gol Digital, Ander Iturraspe will joined Leeds United in the summer transfer window only if Marcelo Bielsa’s side win promotion to the Premier League.

Iturraspe is leaving Athletic Bilbao at the end of the season when his current contract with the Spanish club runs out.

The defensive midfielder worked with Leeds head coach Bielsa when the Argentine was in charge of Bilbao.

It has been reported that Bielsa wants to bring the 30-year-old Spaniard to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.

However, according to El Gol Digital, a move to Leeds is completely dependent on whether or not the club are in the Premier League next season.

Leeds have finished in the top six of the Championship this season and are aiming to clinch promotion to the top flight of English football via the playoffs.

The West Yorkshire outfit will face Derby County in the Championship playoff semi-finals.

Iturraspe, who has been on the books of Bilbao since 2008, has played just 97 minutes in La Liga this season, according to WhoScored.
