Everton are thought to be preparing to make a bid for Olympique de Lyonnais’ Bertrand Traore, according to a report by Football Insider.
Marcel Brands is thought to be ready to line up a £25million bid for the attacker once the Toffees complete their deal for Andre Gomes.
The Portugal international was impressive for the Goodison Park outfit and Everton have acted swiftly to ensure that he will be remaining with them on a permanent basis.
Once a deal is concluded for the Barcelona midfielder though, it is believed Brands will turn his attention to Traore.
The Burkina Faso international had an exceptional year in Ligue 1 last season as he managed to net 11 goals and provide five assists in his 48 appearances across all competitions.
Traore is no stranger to English football as he was once on the books at Chelsea, however, his opportunities to impress with the Blues were rather limited, to say the least.
In his time at Stamford Bridge, the attacker made just 16 appearances but still managed to score four goals and provide an assist – with two of those efforts coming in the Premier League back in the 2015/16 campaign.
Still only 23-years-old, Marco Silva is thought to believe the winger has all the potential to become a top quality attacker.
Traore likes to operate on the right-hand side of the pitch as he generally looks to cut in on his left and fire a shot towards goal, just like Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
Everton could certainly do with adding some quality to that area of the pitch as they only really have Theo Walcott, however, he has blown rather hot and cold with his performances for the club since arriving.
