According to Football Ghana, Aston Villa are interested in signing Andre Ayew from Swansea City in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Championship club Swansea are eager to release Ayew due to his high wages and their plan to cut costs.
The Swans will play in the second tier of English football next season as well after failing to clinch promotion to the Premier League.
According to Football Ghana, Villa want to secure the services of the 29-year-old, who is valued at £5 million.
The report has also claimed of interest in the Ghana international winger from UAE champions Al Sharjah.
The former Marseille star returned to Swansea for his second spell at the Welsh outfit in January 2018 after leaving West Ham United.
The winger spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Turkish giants Fenerbahce, where he made 22 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Super Lig, scoring five goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Villa will play in the Premier League next season after clinching promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.
