According to The Scottish Sun, Aston Villa have decided not to pursue their interest in Liverpool winger Ryan Kent.

It has been reported that Kent has made it it clear to his representatives that he wants to move back to Rangers in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old winger spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Rangers from Premier League club Liverpool.

According to WhoScored, the former England Under-20 international made 25 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers this past season, scoring six goals in the process.

The Scottish Sun has claimed that while Rangers remain on the hunt for Kent, Villa have decided to pull out and will not make a move for the youngster.

The Villans will play in the Premier League next season after clinching promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.

As for Rangers, Steven Gerrard’s side will be aiming to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
