According to The Sun, Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing Hartlepool United goalkeeper Brad Young.
It has been reported that Premier League giants United and Arsenal both have been checking on the 17-year-old.
Young signed a professional contract with Hartlepool in the summer, and it is clear that the Vanarama National League club rate him highly.
It is hard to see Pools stave off any offers from United or Arsenal, but one suspects that they will hold out for maximum transfer fee possible.
Young’s young age and lack of experience means that he is not ready for the first team at United or Arsenal, but the goalkeeper is one for the future and will be a very good long-term signing for the Red Devils or the Gunners.
Neither United nor Arsenal are going to challenge for the Premier League title this season, but both are aiming to finish in the top four of the league table this campaign.
