According to The Daily Record, Lewis Dunk’s move from Brighton and Hove Albion to Leicester City could open the door for Celtic to bring back Filip Benkovic.
Benkovic spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Celtic in the Scottish Premiership from Premier League outfit Leicester.
The 21-year-old central defender established himself as an important player for the Hoops and helped them win the domestic treble for the third season in a row.
According to WhoScored, the Croatia Under-21 international made 17 starts and three substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic this season, scoring two gaols in the process.
The Daily Record has claimed that that Celtic want the youngster back at Celtic Park on loan for the 2019-20.
According to TEAMtalk, Leicester want to sign 27-year-old England international central defender from Brighton for £30 million.
If that deal goes through, then it will open the door for Celtic to sign Benkovic on loan for next season, according to The Daily Record.
