Glasgow Rangers are due to play against Hamilton in a Scottish Premiership match at the Ibrox Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Gers will be the firm favourites to win the game and will be looking for nothing less than three points in order to pile the pressure on arch-rivals Celtic.

The Hoops’ 1-1 draw against Hibernian in the Premier League last week meant that Rangers are now just one point behind Neil Lennon’s side.

Rangers head into the game in good form as they have won five out of their last six games in all competitions.

By contrast, Hamilton have managed just one out of their last six games in all competitions.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is expected to make many changes to his side for the game, according to a report which was published by the Gers official website.

One Rangers player who will be looking to regain confidence during the game is James Tavernier.

The Gers skipper was responsible for both of the opposition goals during the team’s Europa League defeat last week.

Even though Tavernier had a poor game, he is still one of Gerrard’s best players and the performance does not warrant him being dropped.

The Rangers report added that Nikola Katic could be set to potentially replace Filip Helander who has a slight injury in defence.

The Gers have issues in midfield given that Ryan Jack is set to miss the game while Joe Aribo also is unlikely to play any part in the game. Andy King could be set to make his first start for the Gers.
