Glasgow Rangers will meet Osijek in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier and will feel confident about their chances of progressing to the next round.
The Light Blues currently hold a one-goal advantage following last week’s win in Croatia and will feel good about their chances when the two sides meet at Ibrox on Thursday.
Steven Gerrard was not too pleased with what he saw from his players in the first half of their latest pre-season match against Wigan Athletic, however, he will be hoping they can get a positive result against Osijek.
And, his side will have been handed a huge boost ahead of the clash, with the Daily Record claiming that Scott Arfield is back in training and should be available for the game.
The former Burnley man had to limp out of their second leg fixture with FK Shkupi, which had forced him out of last week’s victory.
However, it appears that he is now ready to return to action, which will give Gerrard a decision to make in the middle of the field.
The Canadian has featured for his new side in central midfield in the two appearances he has made, however, he can also play out wide on the left, something he did many times for his former club.
There are no other concerns for Gerrard at this moment and he will be delighted that he can continue to use the same group of players.
The defence has been impressive, having not conceded a goal in the five games the new Ibrox chief has overseen, and changes would not be expected.
Alfredo Morelos has started to look in form following a difficult start and the Light Blues will be hoping he can fire them into the next round of the competition, where they will meet either NK Maribor or FC Chikhura Sachkhere.
