Glasgow Rangers play an away game against St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Steven Gerrard’s Gers side will be looking for nothing less than a win as they look to challenge Glasgow Celtic for the title this season.
Rangers head into the game in good form after having won five out of their last six games in all competitions.
The one result that was not a win was their last game, which was a 0-0 stalemate against Legia Warsaw in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Rangers’ opponents St Mirren, by contrast, have won just two out of their previous five games in all competitions, drawing two and losing the other two.
Gerrard is expected to make a number of changes to his squad ahead of the clash, as reported by the Rangers official website.
There are likely to be some Rangers players rested as the Gers look to prioritise their second leg Europa League clash against Legia.
BBC Sport state the likes of Brandon Barker, Greg Docherty, Jake Hastie and Greg Stewart could all be set to play for the Gers.
Rangers will be favorites to win the game as they have a better side and are in better form but they cannot afford to take their opponents who recorded a surprise win against Aberdeen lightly.
Rangers should aim to get into a commanding position early on during the game. If that ends up planning, they can look at withdrawing key players in lieu of the Europa League game against Legia.
