The Steven Gerrard revolution at Ibrox is set to continue this week as Glasgow Rangers are set to make a double loan swoop for Umar Sadiq and Lassana Coulibaly, according to the Daily Mail.
The new Gers boss has been busy in the transfer market since taking up his position with the Scottish giants, and should he get the two deals over the line it would take the incomings in his tenure up to nine.
Sadiq was said to have arrived in Glasgow on Monday evening to finalise details over a season-long loan switch from Italian giants Roma. He would fill a big void in the squad at Ibrox and really strengthen the options Gerrard would have in forward areas.
The other man expected to sign imminently is Mali international midfielder Lassana Coulibaly, who is another who will be signed for the upcoming campaign.
He is currently playing for Angers in France having begun his career with Bastia, and is said to be a strong and powerful midfielder who breaks up play and launches attacks, which will be perfect for the hustle and bustle of the Scottish game.
The 22-year-old enforcer already has nine caps for his country, and is seen as one of the brightest prospects in African football right now, so it would be a real coup for Gerrard should he manage to get hold of the services of the Malian for the season.
The former England legend has already brought seven players to Ibrox this summer with deals being completed for Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield, Jamie Murphy, Connor Goldson, Ovie Ejaria, Nikola Katic and Jon Flanagan.
Rangers begin their season on Thursday night when they entertain Macedonian outfit FK Shkupi, and if they can get the paperwork completed for both deals before Wednesday, the duo could make their debuts in the first leg of the Europa League clash.
