Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson has told the club’s official website that Steven Gerrard loves being the Ibrox club’s manager.
Gerrard has been in charge of Rangers since the summer of 2018 and has done a wonderful job at Ibrox so far.
The Liverpool legend guided the Gers to second place in the Scottish Premiership table last season and also featured in the group stage of the Europa League.
Rangers are level on points with bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic and could also progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League.
Given Gerrard’s success at the Gers so far, Rangers fans will be concerned that he could be offered big jobs in England.
After all, the former England international midfielder is one of the greatest players to have played in the Premier League, and he is also proving to be a very adept football manager.
Wilson, who has recently appointed as the Rangers sporting director after leaving Southampton in the Premier League, has said that Gerrard loves his role at the Gers.
Wilson told Rangers’ official website about Gerrard: “He is fantastic to work with, he absolutely loves being here, his energy in the job in huge and I think it would be remiss of me not to say also that he is supported with an excellent team of people around him.”
