Glasgow Rangers were beaten 3-2 by Old Firm rivals Glasgow Celtic at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday afternoon, however, fans took to social media to slate one of their attackers for his performance during the game.
Graeme Murty’s side started brightly, having taken the lead inside the opening two minutes when Josh Windass fired the ball into the top corner after Hoops defender Dedryck Boyata made a mistake at the back.
Gers were pegged back almost ten minutes later when Tom Rogic bent a shot unopposed past Wes Foderingham, however, the home team restored their lead midway through the half.
Daniel Candeias met a cross from Declan John, but that lead was once again short-lived when Moussa Dembele equalised the game just before the half-time whistle.
Rangers would have been feeling confident of getting a result after Jozo Simunovic was shown a straight red card, however, Odsonne Edouard had other ideas and got Celtic the winner.
The defeat leaves the Ibrox outfit nine points behind their fierce rivals in the Scottish Premiership, although they have played a game more than their opponents.
Fans were, naturally, disappointed with the result, however, a number of the Light Blue faithful took to social media to criticise the performance of Windass.
The youngster has been in prolific form since Murty has been in charge at Ibrox and the winger has been rewarded with a new contract.
Fans stated that they had felt the former Accrington Stanley player had gone missing after his goal, with a number of them stating that he should have been subbed off in the game.
Here are some of their reactions:
Maybe change it at HT like most other people wanted? Take Windass (who was anonymous after his goal) off for Holt and have more balance in there. Change our shape to suit us when they went down to 10 men, stretch the game and dominate. Not us. Murty did nothing and Rodgers did.

Forget Morelos (if, but’s & whatabootery): against 10 men we were over-ran which is pathetic. Windass (after goal) & Goss were missing, should’ve been hooked much earlier; momentum was always with them. We’re miles off winning league. Time for Board to step up, new manager ASAP.

Windass goal excluded he was MIA. In fact, in the 2nd half it looked like he couldn't control the ball!

I know mate… Windass the problem… he was the issue in the Hibs game & he was same today! He scored and it was a good goal but he can’t then be a passenger for rest of game

Morelos getting a lot of stick from some. He missed guilt edged chances, there is no denying that, but he bullied their defenders today and nobody was there to feed off his scraps.
To single him out when we have imposters like Josh Windass wearing a Rangers jersey is a disgrace.

The game was lost in midfield we once again were bullied and don’t even mention windass who went missing after he scored

Totally agree with docherty Jimbo. He wasnt at the races at all today. Windass is probably the most frustrating player we've ever had.

I’ve had a lot of time to think about how that game went today. The mistakes we made the subs that should have happened or came earlier. I don’t care what anyone says windass goes missing far too often and is too scared to get stuck in. Scored today but apart from that was woeful
