Leeds United co-owner Andrea Radrizzani has stated that he does not have news over Garry Monk’s future or on players at the moment and asked the fans to wait one or two weeks for an update.
The Whites have had an emotional campaign, with hopes of a top-six finish scuppered by a poor run of recent form.
A 3-3 draw against Norwich City on Saturday ended the Yorkshire club’s hopes of finishing in the play-off berths, with all eyes starting to look towards next season already.
Monk is a firm fans’ favourite and has instilled a feel-good factor around Elland Road that has not been there for some years.
However, speculation is rife over the manager’s future with Leeds after he admitted that he is unsure whether he will be with the Championship club next term.
Radrizzani answered a number of questions on stage during the Whites’ end of season awards night and was quizzed on whether he had any news on Monk or certain players.
As can be seen in the video above, the Italian answered that it would be a number of weeks before any update was given.
“No, I don’t have news about players or manager. Let’s wait one more, two more weeks,” he said at the 4:30 minute mark of the video.
Monk has been linked with a move to other clubs, while speculation in the national press is that Radrizzani and fellow owner Massimo Cellino will look to appoint a foreign coach.
