Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna wants to join Premier League rivals West Ham United this summer, according to The Sun.
The 34-year-old defender is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium at the end of the current campaign, with it looking increasingly unlikely that the French veteran will be offered a new deal with Pep Guardiola’s men.
West Ham are in the market for a new right-back, with the position proving to be a problem area of late.
With Alvaro Arbeloa injured and Sam Byram failing to show enough consistency to nail down the role, midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate has been operating there of late.
Slaven Bilic will surely look to address the right-back void this summer and could be tempted into a move for Sagna given that he will be available on a free transfer.
West Ham have also been linked with St Etienne defender Kevin Malcuit in recent days after the 25-year-old impressed in Ligue 1.
