Tottenham Hotspur expect Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen to travel with them on their tour of Asia this week, despite question marks over their futures, according to the Evening Standard.
The Spurs pair have both been linked with moves away this summer, but as yet no offer has come in for either of them and they remain firmly in London.
Eriksen has told Tottenham that he wants to leave for a new challenge, with Real Madrid associated with a possible move for his services, even though Mauricio Pochettino would like to keep hold of his prized asset.
Alderweireld is said to be a target for Serie A side AS Roma, and there are still 10 days remaining on a clause in his contract that would allow him to exit Spurs for just £25 million, although as yet no advance has been made for him either.
Pochettino is expected to name both men in his Tottenham squad to go off on Asia, as the Champions League finalists from last term begin their preparations for the new campaign, which is just under four weeks away.
Spurs have fixtures with Juventus and then Manchester United in Singapore and Shanghai respectively, as they look to shake off some of the rust in the seven weeks since that loss in Madrid.
Tottenham fans could get a sighting of their new signing Tanguy Ndombele on the trip, but more importantly, they will be just as pleased to see their two big guns remain in their shirt.
After going so close to silverware last term, this is a big season coming up for Pochettino’s charges, as they look to go one step further in Europe, as well as launch a title charge domestically, so the news that Alderweireld and Eriksen are still around as pre-season begins can only be a good thing.
