Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is already planning how he will fix his side during the January transfer window.
The Lilywhites are currently in poor form.
Tottenham suffered humiliation on Tuesday afternoon as they were dumped out of the League Cup by Colchester United.
The 90 minutes ended goalless and the game went to a penalty shoot-out.
The U’s managed to win after Tottenham boss Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura missed from the spot.
Spurs also experienced their second Premier League defeat last weekend as they were defeated by Leicester City.
Pochettino has admitted that Tottenham will look to shake up his squad mid-season.
”We are working so hard to put everyone on the same page,” the Tottenham boss said, according to a report published by Sky Sports.
“Only we need time. January is going to be a good opportunity too to fix this situation and the next one. That is the problem when something happens that you cannot control.
“It means we are human and in football to keep the successful period in football you need to be different every season and find different solutions. We need to do something different and we will do that.”
Tottenham have only won two games so far this season and are already cut adrift of the Premier League’s leaders.
Some feel that the Spurs manager has taken the Lilywhites to a plateau and that they would not be able to achieve much else.
Tottenham will certainly have to make adjustments to their side during the January transfer window in order to build a better side going forward.
Spurs will hope to get back to winning ways when they face Southampton in the Premier League this weekend.
