Charlie Adam has predicted on Sportsound on BBC Radio Scotland that Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers will beat Neil Lennon’s Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title by four points.
Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 21 points from eight matches, two points clear of second-placed and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Bhoys have won the league title for the past eight seasons and have clinched the domestic treble in Scotland for the last three years.
Blackpool midfielder Adam – who started his professional club football career at Rangers and suggested to The Daily Record back in November 2018 that he was open to joining Rangers in January 2019 – has predicted the Gers to win the league title by four points.
Adam said on Sportsound on BBC Radio Scotland: “The Old Firm was a disappointing match. But two points clear during this international break, he will be delighted – I think Rangers will win the title by four points.”
Celtic may be behind Rangers at the moment, but the Glasgow giants remain the best team in Scotland.
It is still only October, and there is a lot of football to be played, and the Bhoys well be confident of bridging the gap between themselves and the Gers.
