Jose Mourinho’s admiration for Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans has been revealed by one of the Belgian star’s ex-team-mates, with the Manchester United boss reportedly keen to bring the young midfielder to Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old is one of a generation of young stars at the Belgian club currently, but the all-action central midfielder is largely acknowledged as the brightest light at Anderlecht and a potential superstar of the future.
Tielemans broke into the Anderlecht side at the age of 16 and has been linked with a wealth of European clubs since – but has opted to stay in his homeland.

The latest progression in the teenager’s future has been revealed by former team-mate Lukasz Plonowski.
The Polish youngster has revealed that Tielemans told him that Mourinho had called the Belgian personally and asked about his potential interest in moving to United.
“Youri called me up recently and said: Lukasz, do you know who called me? Mourinho,” Plonowski told Weszlo.
“He asked if how I’d take the possibility to move to Manchester United.”
United have already splashed the cash on Paul Pogba this summer, parting company on a world-record transfer fee in a bid to breathe life into the team’s midfield.
However, it appears that Mourinho has one eye on Tielemans as a potential future recruit and partner for the French superstar.
