Wolverhampton Wanderers moved into the top 10 of the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, when they saw off Aston Villa 2-1 at Molineux, and their fans were full of praise for one man after the match.
Wolves are really impressing at the minute, not just with their appealing performances, but also the fact they are competing strongly both domestically and on the European stage.
It was a slow beginning to the season for Wanderers, not helped by their hectic schedule which included the initial stages of the Europa League, but they have caught fire in recent times and are starting to look like the side we all admired last term.
Nuno Espirito Santo and his men are ticking along nicely at the minute, and controlled the clash with the Villans on Sunday, as goals from Portuguese star Ruben Neves and Mexico international Raul Jimenez either side of half time was more than enough for Wolves to seal the points.
Villa scored a consolation in injury time, but they knew they were well beaten, by a performance which was even more remarkable, when you consider that Wanderers were in action in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
There were a lot of good performers in a Wolves shirt on Sunday afternoon, with Neves, Jimenez and Diogo Jota all impressing, but one man really caught the eye.
That was the former Villa player Adama Traore, a man who seems to be improving with every match for Wanderers, and who put in a great shift here, delivering a brilliant assist for the Mexican’s strike.
The winger, called up to the Spanish squad for the European qualifiers next week, lit up the contest, something their fans were quick to point out when commenting on Twitter after the final whistle at Molineux.
