Reports have surfaced in Spain suggesting that Real Madrid will offer Chelsea the opportunity to sign Luka Jovic this summer and fans appear to be delighted on Twitter.
According to an article by Mundo Deportivo, the Blues will be able to have the chance of landing the Serbia international as the La Liga giants are said to have been disappointed with his start to life in the Spanish capital.
It is has been claimed Zinedine Zidane is fed up of waiting for the 22-year-old to hit the potential he has and has not been impressed with the levels of output he has produced since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.
Furthermore, it is believed Real Madrid could entertain offers of around €60million (£55.4m) – approximately the same price they paid for him.
Although things have gone far from what would have been initially expected at the Santiago Bernabeu – just two goals and two assists in the 24 appearances – Jovic has shown he can find the back of the net consistently when provided the opportunity.
His last campaign with Frankfurt prior to his Spanish switch, the £36m-rated striker (as per TransferMarkt) bagged himself 27 and provided his team-mates with a further seven in the 48 matches he featured in for the Germans (per TransferMarkt).
Perhaps, those statistics are why the news that the Serbian could be offered to the club has been met with excitement and demand from the Chelsea fanbase for a deal to be completed.
Many of them suggested Jovic could be the ‘perfect signing’ whilst others stated that they felt the 22-year-old was better than current option, Tammy Abraham.
