Glasgow Rangers made it three wins in a row on Saturday afternoon when they defeated Heart of Midlothian 3-1 at Tynecastle.

Steven Gerrard’s side may only have the runners-up spot to play for in the Scottish Premiership, however, that does not appear to have affected their recent performances.

Jermain Defoe got things going for the Light Blues in the early moments of the first half before Ryan Jack got himself on the scoresheet before the half-time whistle.

Nikola Katic then ensured the three points would be returning to Ibrox with Rangers when he scored shortly after the break, despite the hosts pulling one back through Steven MacLean 15 minutes or so from time.

Fans will have been pleased with the victory as they look to be securing their place in the top-two and many took to social media to share their thoughts on the game.

And, one name appeared to get plenty of the praise from Rangers supporters that were on Twitter.

Many were delighted with the performance that Katic had managed to produce at Tynecastle and were pleased to see him back on the pitch.

Rangers fans commented that he had been ‘outstanding’ and some were stating that he was just simply ‘class’.

The Croatian defender, who was one of Gerrard’s first additions when he arrived at Rangers, has found life a little difficult recently at Ibrox.

Valued at £2.03million by Transfermarkt, the 22-year-old has had to settle for a place on the Rangers bench for the majority of the season.

However, with Joe Worrall likely to head back to Nottingham Forest in the summer when his loan spell in Glasgow comes to an end, it will have been pleasing to see him put in a rather solid display for the Light Blues.

Here are some of the Rangers reactions to Katic’s performance on Saturday afternoon:
